Jim Gormley
President & CEO

Jim is passionately involved in the Canadian Franchising community and has over 25 years of Franchising experience as a Master Franchisee, Area Developer and Franchisor for the QSR , FSR food, entertainment retail, service sector and Business 2 Business, in the Canadian Franchise Industry.

Jim specializes in New Franchise Sales, Franchisee Resale’s, Competitor Conversions, Franchisee Recruitment, Franchisee Acquisition, Franchisee Disclosure, and Franchisee Relations.

Jim is involved at the Regional, Provincial, National and International level with many Franchise organizations and has participated in various stages of their Franchise Development, from their initial start-up phase through their growth period including, franchisee support and system validation.

Jim is responsible for securing International, National and Regional Franchise Systems as clients for TFX.  Jim works closely with all clients to Source, Recruit, Validate, Secure, qualify and Disclose, the correct franchisees for each client’s individual system and category.

John Amos
Real Estate Specialist

John is a Real Estate industry veteran who made up the nucleus of the development team at Blockbuster Canada from 1995 to 2011.  During  his more than fifteen years working at Blockbuster, he oversaw the growth of that company from 150 locations to over 450 locations, stretching from coast to coast across Canada.

John is a civil engineer.  His early years included stints on the construction side with Black & McDonald, Cineplex, Bird Construction and Verdiroc Construction.   He was part of Blockbuster Canada’s executive for more than ten years and led the real estate, lease administration, store planning, construction and facilities departments.  He also chaired Blockbuster’s capital committee and looked after new business development for Blockbuster.

Lisa Carvalho
Construction and Site Management Manager

Lisa led the store planning, construction and facilities departments for Blockbuster.  Year after year she was able to reduce Blockbuster’s typical store construction costs while constantly improving the store environment for the consumer.  She got her start in retail in the quick service food industry working for McDonalds.  She is also a licenced real estate agent.

Together John and Lisa lead a team of project coordinators and administrative staff and draw on their many contacts in the retail industry across the country including real estate brokers, architects, lawyers, accountants and contractors to provide their clients with a full-service development team.

Franchise Sales Manager - Western Canada


Lisa McDonald has a passion for business and for helping others.  With vast experience in franchise management, training and operations, Lisa helps potential franchisees see past the initial stages of getting up and running and into a successful future.  With a solid track record of real estate analysis and negotiation, she helps our new owners find the best locations for their new business.

In a previous career, Lisa was a Registered Nurse, Clinical Specialist and International Sales Representative for an established medical equipment supplier. This helped hone her natural skills in communicating, listening and problem solving which translate well into helping people make the important decision of what business to start.

Over 20 years Marketing, Sales, Business Development leadership positions working for Corporately owned retail chains, and national franchisors in hardlines & service sector as well for multiple shopping centre landlord. Chair of franchise committees, member of senior retail marketers committee-RCC; ran merchants associations meetings.
